Connecting iPhone 4 to Exchange Server 2003 Account

Problems in connecting the iPhone 4 to Exchange Server 2003.

A) Cannot verify with the certificate. Got message: "Cannot verify server identity"
B) Cannot connect to the server. Got message: "The connection to the server failed"

Solved the problem of authentication by installing the root cert of mail server (used by the OWA) to the iPhone.
Authentication passed but still cannot connect to the server to receive mail.

With these steps:

1) Follow this Microsoft KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=817379
SSL does not play nice with Active Sync. This provides the work around.

2) There is another issue that causes this problem. If you use OWA with forms based authentication, activesync will not work. Here is the fix: Install a hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916640
This allows Push mail to resume after the SSL Active Sync work around has been evoked.

Mail box and outlook items can then be synchronized properly.

Cannot load Farm Town

Don't know why the Facebook Application - Farm Town suddenly cannot be started. (with both IE and Firefox.)

It stucks in either the green background or "Loading User...". Then it stops. I note from the browser status bar that it hang when loading cdn.slashkey.com.

I tried to follow the instructions as described in http://www.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74926

1.Remove old Flash player using this link:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/192/tn_19254.html

2.Reboot your computer.

3. Install debugger version from Adobe.com to your desktop:
Be sure to close out any programs running in the background located on your toolbar (Yahoo IM, AOL IM, Skype, Registry software etc…). Disable any antivirus during the load.
Adobe Flash Player 10 — Debugger Versions (aka debug players or content debuggers)
NOTE: Please make sure you download the correct file for the browser you are using
2/24/09 Updated debugger versions of Flash Player 10 (aka debug players or content debuggers) are available.
These new players are version 10.0.22.87.
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Right click on the Flash Player.exe file and select “run as administrator”. Thanks Sarah1976!

4. After the load completes, reboot your computer.

5. Set your Flash Player global settings as follows:
a. Go to the Settings Managers here...
http://www.macromedia.com/support/do...s_manager.html
b. Once there, select "Global Storage Settings"
c. Make sure the "Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer." box is checked.
d. Move the slider bar to the right until it says 1MB, or greater, to allocate the amount of space websites can store information on your computer.
e. Refresh your browser, check to see if your selections are retained.
However, my farm still not come back.

Without hope, I do one more step:
--> Go to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

--> Look for "cdn.slashkey.com" and adjust the bar above to 1MB (you may return it to 100KB after the program runs again.)
Then, reload the program and my farm comes back.

USB mouse cannot be installed in Vista

I got the following error while trying to install a new usb optical mouse to my Laptop with Vista Home P.

Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error whileattempting to install it.
USB Browser Mouse
An error occurred during the installation of the device.
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry.
This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact yourhardware vendor. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website andcheck the support section for driver software.
Following solution was found:

    1. Open start menu click search >advance search >put this word in the name : msmouse and don't forget to check mark Include non-index..etc. The files should be found in x:\Windows\System32DriverStore\FileRepository\msmouse.inf_*
    2. Copy the folder and paste it on desktop or where ever you want then
    3. open the device manger then look under unknown devices. There is the USB Receiver
    4. Right click on it then choose updat driver > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick > Have Disk > Browse >open the folder you copy it to the
desktop earlier. Then choose msmouse file inside it >open> ok.
    5. Then it will show HID-compliant mouse. Choose it and click next. If any warning pop-up, click install or ok or next .. etc
Then the USB mouse driver was installed and works fine.

CHKDSK runs every time the PC boots! D: is Dirty

Every time when the PC boot, the check disk (CHKDSK) runs and states that "D: is Dirty".

To fix the problem:
1. Click on the Start menu and open the run dialog.
2. Type "cmd" and return (without quotes)
3. Next type "fsutil dirty query " (for example, C:)
4. If the returned message indicates that the volume is dirty, go to step 5
5. Next type "chkdsk /f /x"
6. After that finishes, repeat step 3.
7. If the volume is no longer dirty, reboot and chkdsk should not reappear.

- The "fsutil dirty query" reports the current state of the flag.
- "Chkdsk /f" forces Chkdsk to run whether or not the flag is dirty--- it's a way to ensure that errors are fixed, regardless of what the flag says.
- "Chkdsk /x" goes a little further and helps ensure that any files that were left open get closed; it actually implies "/f" so you don't need the /f if you're using /x .
- With either /f or /x, at the end of the run, Chkdsk should set the flag to clean.

Restore missing tabs to the Display properties dialog

Some Trojan was found in a user's PC and was removed. However, some normal setting was also removed altogether.

Blue screens appeared recurrently with error message such as "bogus driver" problem, page_fault_in_nonpaged_area, unexpected_kernel_mode_trap, partort.sys error, serenum.sys error, etc.

Moreover, the tabs of "Desktop" and "Screen Saver" in the Display Properies were missing.

The following tools helps to fix the missing tabs:
